RegScanner

The “Reg” part in this application’s name refers to the Windows Registry, the database that stores configuration settings and options on Windows-powered machines.
The “Scanner” part in this application’s name refers to the functionality the application has to offer. You can use this application to scan the Windows registry.

All the bits you need to get started with RegScanner are inside a small archive. Download a lightweight archive, extract its contents, and then run the RegScanner executable – that is all you have to do to get started with RegScanner on a Windows-powered PC (any Windows edition from Windows 98 all the way up to Windows 8).

The Registry Scan Options prompt shows up first when you launch RegScanner. From this prompt you can set the search paramterers: find string, matching, look at, scan the following base keys, and so on. After that you will be presented with RegScanner’s main interface which lists all the results of the Registry scan.

From the main interface you can: export selected items; save selected items; copy selected items; view properties for selected items; find function; open items in RegEdit; view HTML reports for all or selected items; copy keys; save and load configurations; create delete .Reg files; and more.
